Ann
L. Glowasky, MD
Dr. Glowasky attended Emory University
in Atlanta, GA, receiving her Bachelor of Arts
degree in Chemistry/Philosophy in 1982. Between
1982 and 1986 she attended medical school at the
University of Florida and received her medical
degree in 1986. From 1986 to 1987 she participated
in a General Surgery Internship in conjunction
with the Jacksonville Health Education Program.
From 1987 to 1991 she was in a residency program
in Otolaryngology at the University of Florida.
Dr. Glowasky is Board Certified
by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head
and Neck Surgery. At the conclusion of her residency
she was appointed to the clinical faculty of the
University of Florida during which time she developed
the dysphonia clinic to implement the use of Botox
in the treatment of voice disorders. She also
participated in dysphagia research.
Since 1991 she has been in private
practice of Otolaryngology serving Gainesville
and the surrounding area. In addition to general
Adult and Pediatric Otolaryngology, Dr. Glowasky
has special interests in head and neck surgery,
laryngeal, voice and swallowing disorders and
ENT allergy. In 2004, Dr. Glowasky guided the
development of speech and swallowing disorder
service in the practice, which is supported by
specialized testing and evaluation equipment.

Lawrence
W. Rodgers, Jr., MD
In 1975, Dr. Rodgers received his
Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the
University of Florida and in 1977 he completed
his education and training to become a Physician
Assistant. For the next five years, he practiced
as a Physician Assistant in several locations
including Hagerstown, MD, Gainesville and Dade
City, FL. In 1987 he earned his Medical Degree,
with honors, from the University of Florida College
of Medicine. From 1987 to 1992 Dr. Rodgers was
in residency training in the Department of Otolaryngology
at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Rodgers is Board Certified by
the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and
Neck Surgery. Since 1992 Dr. Rodgers has been
in the private practice of Otolaryngology serving
Gainesville and the surrounding area. In addition
to general Adult and Pediatric Otolaryngology,
he has special interests in endoscopic sinus surgery,
head and neck surgery and ENT allergy.

Brian
G. Kerr, MD
Dr. Kerr received his undergra
duate degree from the University of Florida
in Chemical
Engineering in 1987. From 1987 to 1993 he was
employed by E. I. DuPont as a Chemical Engineer.
In 1993 he enrolled at Louisiana State University
to pursue his medical degree that he received
in 1997. From 1997 to 2002 Dr. Kerr was in residency
training at Louisiana State University.
He joined Accent Physician Specialists,
PA at the conclusion of his residency training
and has been in the community practice of Otolaryngology
since 2002. He is Board Certified by the American
Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
His special interests are adult and pediatric
ENT, head and neck surgery, management and treatment
of snoring, nose and sinus care, and ENT allergy. |

Alex
G. Rafanan, PA-C
Dr. Rafanan is a Certified Physician
Assistant and assists the physicians with patient
care delivered in the office as well as the operating
room. Mr. Rafanan completed his undergraduate
education at the University of Florida in 1985.
In 1987 he completed a two-year postgraduate education
program and graduated from the Universtity of
Florida Physician Assistant Program. From 1987
to 1989 he worked as a Physician Assistant in
the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department and
from 1989 to 1997 with the Department of Otolaryngology
as a Physician Assistant, both at the University
of Florida. He joined Accent Physician Specialists,
PA in 1998.
